ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਆਨਪਾ ਭਜੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ॥ ਏਕ ਸਾਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਗਲ ਦੀਸੈ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਸਦ ਸੰਗਿ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੀ ਬੂਝੀਐ ਏਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਰਥ ਏਕ ਕੇਰੀ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਠਾਉ ॥ ਮਹਾ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਲੰਘੀਐ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੨॥ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੀਐ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥ ਏਕ ਟੇਕ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਏਕੋ ਏਕ ਕਾ ਮਨਿ ਜੋਰੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪੀਐ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਰੁ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੩੬॥

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ :-

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿਆਣਪਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ । ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਹੋਰ) ਹਰੇਕ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਿਕੰਮੀ (ਸਾਬਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ) ਹੈ ॥੧॥ (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਜੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਬੇੜੀ ਸਹੀ-ਸਲਾਮਤ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਭੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹੀਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥ (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਸਕਣ ਦੀ) ਤਾਕਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ,) ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਬਿਖੜੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ ॥੨॥ (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਈਏ ਤਾਂ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦੀ) ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। (ਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥ (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਓਟ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਕੀਆ (ਜਮ-ਪੁਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਦਾ) ਹੈ । (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ (ਜੋ ਜਮਪੁਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸਕੇ ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਸਕੇ) ॥੪॥੧॥੧੩੬॥

ENGLISH TRANSLATION :-

RAAG AASAA, FIFTH MEHL, TWELFTH HOUSE:
ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:
Renounce all your cleverness and remember the Supreme, Formless Lord God. Without the One True Name, everythingappears as dust. || 1 || Know that God is always with you. By Gurus Grace, one understands, and is imbued with the Loveof the One Lord. || 1 || Pause || Seek the Shelter of the One All-powerful Lord; there is no other place of rest. The vast andterrifying world-ocean is crossed over, singing continually the Glorious Praises of the Lord. || 2 || Birth and death areovercome, and one does not have to suffer in the City of Death. He alone obtains the treasure of the Naam, the Name of theLord, unto whom God shows His Mercy. || 3 || The One Lord is my Anchor and Support; the One Lord alone is the power ofmy mind. O Nanak, joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate on Him; without the Lord, there is no otherat all. || 4 || 1 || 136 ||

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ :-

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਜੀਭ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੧। ਰਹਾਉ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ (ਪਰਾਏ ਰੂਪ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੨। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਜਾਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਵੈਰਾਗ ਉਪਜਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੭।

WADAHANS, THIRD MEHL:
My tongue is intuitively attracted to the taste of the Lord. Mymind is satisfied, meditating on the Name of the Lord. || 1 || Lasting peace is obtained, contemplating the True Word of theShabad. I am forever a sacrifice to my True Guru. || 1 || Pause || My eyes are content, lovingly focused on the One Lord.My mind is content, having forsaken the love of duality. || 2 || The frame of my body is at peace, through the Shabad, andthe Name of the Lord. The fragrance of the Naam permeates my heart. || 3 || O Nanak, one who has such great destinywritten upon his forehead, through the Word of the Gurus Bani, easily and intuitively becomes free of desire. || 4 || 7 ||

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ :-

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਹੀ) ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਵਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਚੁੱਭੀ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਡੋਲਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ (ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਣਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਚਿਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਆ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਵਾਜਾ) ਵਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੨। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਹੋ! ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਧਿਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਵੇ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਈ ਰਹੁ। ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਮਿਲ। (ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਚਮਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੁਮਲਾਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਕੁਮਲਾਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸੱਜਣ-ਹਰੀ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਗੁਰੂ ਸਲਾਹੁਣ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੁਣ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਦੱਸ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੧।

ENGLISH TRANSLATION :-

RAAG BIHAAGRAA, CHHANT, FOURTH MEHL, FIRST HOUSE:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my soul; to the Gurmukh, the Name of the Lord is priceless. My mind is pierced bythe sublime essence of the Lords Name. The Lord is dear to my mind. My mind is washed clean by the sublime essence of the Lords Name. Through the Gurus Teachings, hold the mind steady, Omy soul; do not let it wander anywhere. One who chants the Bani of the Praises of the Lord God, O Nanak, obtains the fruits ofhis minds desires. || 1 ||Through the Gurus Teachings, the Nectar abides within the mind, O my soul; with your mouth,chants the words of Ambrosia. The Words of the devotees are Ambrosial Nectar, O my soul; hear them in the mind, andembrace loving affection for the Lord. Separated for so very long, I have found the Lord God, intuitively hugged in His LovingEmbrace. Servant Nanaks mind is filled with bliss, O my soul, vibrating the unstruck Sound-current of the Shabad. || 2 || Ifonly my friends and companions would come and unite me with my Lord God, O my soul. I dedicate my mind to one whorecites the sermon of my Lord God, O my soul. As Gurmukh, worship the Lord in adoration forever, O my soul, and you shallobtain the fruits of your minds desires. O Nanak, hurry to the Lords Sanctuary, O my soul; those who meditate on the LordsName are very fortunate. || 3 || By His Grace, God comes to meet us, O my soul; through the Gurus Teachings, His Name isrevealed. Without the Lord, I am so sad, O my soul as sad as the lotus without water. The Perfect Guru, O my soul, hasunited me with the Lord, my best Friend, the Lord God. ਅੱਜ ਵੈਸਾਖ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਰਾਂਦ ਹੈ ਜੀ

ਵੈਸਾਖਿ ਧੀਰਨਿ ਕਿਉ ਵਾਢੀਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹੁ ॥ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਧਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਓਹੁ ॥ ਪਲਚਿ ਪਲਚਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਮੁਈ ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਮੋਹੁ ॥ ਇਕਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਗੈ ਲਈਅਹਿ ਖੋਹਿ ॥ ਦਯੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਵਿਗੁਚਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਚਰਣੀ ਜੋ ਲਗੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਵੈਸਾਖੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਤਾਂ ਲਗੈ ਜਾ ਸੰਤੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥ 

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ :-

(ਵੈਸਾਖੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਦਿਨ ਹਰੇਕ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮਰਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਵੈਸਾਖ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਖਲੋਵੇ ਜੋ ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਿਆਰ (ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ) ਦੀ ਅਣਹੋਂਦ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਧੀਰਜ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਵੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸੱਜਣ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ-ਮੋਹਣੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਚੰਬੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ? ਨਾਹ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ, ਨਾਹ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ, ਨਾਹ ਧਨ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਭਦਾ ਇਕ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ। ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਧੰਧੇ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ (ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ) ਵਿਆਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਹੀ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ) ਮਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਭੀ ਕਰਮ ਇਥੇ ਕਰੀਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਅੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਦੇ)। ਪਿਆਰ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰੀ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਭਲੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ-ਰੱਜਵਾਂ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਸੀਬ ਹੋਵੇ। (ਰੁੱਤ ਫਿਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਫੇਰੇ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਪਈ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਪਰ) ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਸਾਖ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਹਰੀ ਸੰਤ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ॥੩॥

ENGLISH TRANSLATION :-

In the month of Vaisaakh, how can thebride be patient? She is separated from her Beloved. She has forgotten the Lord, her Life-companion, her Master; she hasbecome attached to Maya, the deceitful one. Neither son, nor spouse, nor wealth shall go along with youonly the EternalLord. Entangled and enmeshed in the love of false occupations, the whole world is perishing. Without the Naam, the Name ofthe One Lord, they lose their lives in the hereafter. Forgetting the Merciful Lord, they are ruined. Without God, there is noother at all. Pure is the reputation of those who are attached to the Feet of the Beloved Lord.Nanak makes this prayer to God: Please, come and unite me with Yourself. The month of Vaisaakh is beautiful and pleasant,when the Saint causes me to meet the Lord. || 3 ||

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਬੁਝਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੁ ਜੋ ਨਿਤ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਉਚਰਾ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਭੀ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰੇਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜੋ ਕਰਹਿ ਹਉ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਦੇਉ ॥੧॥ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਸੁ ਖਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਭਰਪੂਰੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਨਿਤ ਸਭ ਕਰਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜੋ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਮਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸਚੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਸਚਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗਹਿ ਨਾ ਸਵਹਿ ਜਾਗਤ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ॥ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਏ ਅਜਾਣੀ ॥੧੭॥

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ :-

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੁਮੱਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ (ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ।੧। ਜਿਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਬਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਉਸੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਗੁਰ-ਸਿੱਖੋ! ਸਾਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੋ, ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਕ-ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।੨। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਉਂਦੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ-ਰੂਪ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਅੰਞਾਣ ਲੋਕ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਖਪ ਖਪ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।੧੭।

Waaho! Waaho! Those humble beings ever praise the Lord, unto whom the Lord Himself grants understanding.Chanting Waaho! Waaho!, the mind is purified, and egotism departs from within. The Gurmukh who continually chants Waaho!Waaho! attains the fruits of his hearts desires. Beauteous are those humble beings who chant Waaho! Waaho! O Lord, let mejoin them! Within my heart, I chant Waaho! Waaho!, and with my mouth, Waaho! Waaho! O Nanak, those who chant Waaho!Waaho! unto them I dedicate my body and mind. || 1 || THIRD MEHL: Waaho! Waaho! is the True Lord Master; HisName is Ambrosial Nectar. Those who serve the Lord are blessed with the fruit; I am a sacrifice to them. Waaho! Waaho! isthe treasure of virtue; he alone tastes it, who is so blessed. Waaho! Waaho! The Lord is pervading and permeating the oceansand the land; the Gurmukh attains Him. Waaho! Waaho! Let all the Gursikhs continually praise Him. Waaho! Waaho! The Perfect Guru is pleased with His Praises. O Nanak, one who chants Waaho! Waaho! with his heart and mind the Messengerof Death does not approach him. || 2 || PAUREE: The Dear Lord is the Truest of the True; True is the Word of the GurusBani. Through the True Guru, the Truth is realized, and one is easily absorbed in the True Lord. Night and day, they remainawake, and do not sleep; in wakefulness, the night of their lives passes. True Lifestyle as stated by Dhan Dhan Baba Isher Singh Ji

1. All sins disappear, when you fall down at Guru’s feet.
2. A Sikh’s practical life is his teachings.
3. To lead a virtuous life do not point fingers at others and do not give an
opportunity to others to point fingers at you.
4. Be proud of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and be confident of him also.
5. Non-believers (manmukhs) always lose in life.
6. If you curse another person, that curse will fall on you.
7. Anything that makes you forget God’s existence is MAYA.
8. First see God in your Guru.
9. With the Guru’s blessings, even suffering is turned into bliss.
10. Without Guru’s blessings, even bliss turns into suffering.
11. One who recites Gurbani but indulges in backbiting is a self-centered person (manmukh).
12. Religion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji will never fail.
13. On hearing Guru’s name, even the messengers of death run away.
14. Guru does not push you away, your deeds do that.
15. A person, who is proud is an evil person.
16. Conduct Sewa with dedication and it will result in bliss.
17. A dignified person is one, who behaves nicely even towards a bad person.
18. Which fast should you keep? The one from bad deeds.
19. There is no greater virtue than connecting someone to Guru.
20. Distancing someone from the Guru is the biggest sin.
21. A person who follows his own mind is always a loser.
22. Anything that distances a person from God, is an illusion (MAYA).
23. Delay is in submission to God, from His side there is no delay in forgiveness.
24. A person who does not remember God is like a dead body.
25. You give up ego and He will shower you with all kinds of blessings.
26. Turning your back towards the Guru and being ungrateful are the greatest sins.
27. Never forget even the smallest favour done by someone.
28. Guru does not look at your misdeeds.
29. Gurbani is eternally true.
30. Avoid bad deeds.
31. Do not follow the mind, let the mind follow you.
32. The Guru rescues the person who is drowning before he will rescue anyone else.
33. Materialistic wealth will soon perish.
34. You will always succeed if you keep the company of noble people.
35. The soul of the Ten Gurus is the body of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
36. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji gives you those gifts which you cannot even imagine.
37. Gurbani is the master key which opens all locks of life.
38. Naam is one wing and the other wing is Sewa.
39. Believers are always winners.
40. Worship the Guru and the whole world will worship you.
41. Falling at the feet of the Guru will destroy ego.
42. Have faith in Guru and the misfortunes will turn into blessings.
43. Guru is always ready to forgive and His Bachans are always true.
44. Surrender to Guru and he will take care of you in this world and thereafter.
45. If one does not respect his Guru, he can never respect God’s existence.
46. Why should one rest if he is a Sikh? Why should one have ego if he is a beggar (we are all beggars in front of Guru).
47. God is not far away, he is always with you.
48. Have complete faith and God will embrace you.
49. By doing Guru’s Sewa, the mind starts thinking of good deeds.
50. Those are rich, who have true wealth (Naam).
51. Direct your life towards Guru and your troubles will vanish at once.
52. Turning your back towards your Guru and becoming self-centered are the two biggest sins.
53. God is present for believers and out of sight for non-believers.
54. Look at your own misdeeds and not at the misdeeds of others.

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਜਿੰਦ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੜ ਸਕਦੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਬਾਲ ਦੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜੋ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਜੀਵ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੰੁੰਚ ਸਕਦਾ), ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ (ਸਦਾ) ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੧। ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਵੇ।ਰਹਾਉ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸਨਕ ਸਨੰਦਨ (ਆਦਿਕ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ) ਨਾਰਦ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਮੁਨੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ (ਰਹੇ) ਹਨ, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ) ਜਪਦੇ (ਰਹੇ) ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ (ਆਦਿਕ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਜੇਹੜੇ) ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਏ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਨ (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ) ਹੱਥ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।੩। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, (ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੪। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਚਿੱਤਾ-ਪਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ (ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ) ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ (ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ) ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਖਾਂਦੀ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ (ਵਿਕਾਰ-ਭਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ) ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੫। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ) ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੰਦ-ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਤਾਂ ਧੋ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਾਈ ਮੈਲ ਖਾਣ ਦਾ ਆਦੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ (ਇਸ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਨਾਹ ਉਰਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਆ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਾਹ ਪਰਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੰਘ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।੬। (ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ)? ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਤਾ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੱਤਾ ਦਾ ਧਾਗਾ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਧਾਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਾਂ ਜਗਤ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੭। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਹੀ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ) ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਬੜੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਖਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ (ਮੈਂ ਇਹੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਰਹੇ।੮।੧।੭।

ENGLISH TRANSLATION :-

GUJRI, FOURTH MEHL, SECOND HOUSE:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Without the Lord, my soul cannot survive, like an infant without milk. The inaccessible and incomprehensible Lord God isobtained by the Gurmukh; I am a sacrifice to my True Guru. || 1 || O my mind, the Kirtan of the Lords Praise is a boat tocarry you across. The Gurmukhs obtain the Ambrosial Water of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. You bless them with Your Grace. || Pause || Sanak, Sanandan and Naarad the sage serve You; night and day, theycontinue to chant Your Name, O Lord of the jungle. Slave Prahlaad sought Your Sanctuary, and You saved his honor. || 2 || The One unseen immaculate Lord is pervading everywhere, as is the Light of the Lord. All are beggars, You alone are the GreatGiver. Reaching out our hands, we beg from You. || 3 || The speech of the humble devotees is sublime; they sing continuallythe wondrous, Unspoken Speech of the Lord. Their lives become fruitful; they save themselves, and all their generations. || 4||The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in duality and evil-mindedness; within them is the darkness of attachment. Theydo not love the sermon of the humble Saints, and they are drowned along with their families. || 5 || By slandering, theslanderer washes the filth off others; he is an eater of filth, and a worshipper of Maya. He indulges in the slander of thehumble Saints; he is neither on this shore, nor the shore beyond. || 6 || All this worldly drama is set in motion by the CreatorLord; He has infused His almighty strength into all. The thread of the One Lord runs through the world; when He pulls out  thisthread, the One Creator alone remains. || 7 || With their tongues, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and savorThem. They place the sublime essence of the Lord upon their tongues, and savor it. O Nanak, other than the Lord, I ask fornothing else; I am in love with the Love of the Lords sublime essence. || 8 || 1 || 7 ||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਰਖੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਸਗਲ ਦੇ ਹਥਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਸਮਰਥ ਸਰਣਾ ਜੋਗੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ ਹੰਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿਨੀ ਏਕੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥ ਵਰਨੁ ਚਿਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਲਖਿਆ ਕਥਨ ਤੇ ਅਕਥਾ ॥ ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥਾ ॥੧॥ ਏਹਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਹਰਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੈਆਲਾ ॥ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਆਮਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਬਾਲ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥ ਜੋ ਸਰਣਿ ਆਵੈ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਮਰਤਾ ॥ ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ॥੨॥ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਮਨ ਇਛਿਅੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਮਨ ਇਛ ਪਾਈਐ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਤ੍ਰਾਸਾ ॥ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਾਇਆ ਭਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ॥ ਤਜਿ ਮਾਨੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਸਗਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਈਐ ॥ ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੩॥ ਦਰਿ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਅਨਹਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਗਾਜੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਗਾਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੇ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਊਚਾ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਪਹੂਚਾ ॥ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਾਜੇ ॥ ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਰਿ ਵਜਹਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ॥੪॥੩॥

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ :-

ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! (ਆਪਣਾ) ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਸਭ-ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੰਗ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ।੧। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ) ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਭਰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੂੰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਭਰਮ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈਂ, ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਮਨ-ਚਿਤਵਿਆ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ) ਮਨੋ-ਕਾਮਨਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਮਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਹਮ ਭੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਹਰੇਕ) ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅਹੰਕਾਰ, ਮੋਹ, ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਭਾ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।੩। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ (ਕਿਸੇ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ) ਉਸ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ, ਉਸ ਤਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਕਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਤਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦਾ।ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ, ਮਾਨੋ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੪।੩।

ENGLISH TRANSLATION :-

WADAHANS, FIFTH MEHL:
God is the all-powerful Creator, the Cause of causes. He preserves the whole world, reaching outwith His hand. He is the all-powerful, safe Sanctuary, Lord and Master, Treasure of mercy, Giver of peace. I am a sacrifice toYour slaves, who recognize only the One Lord. His color and shape cannot be seen; His description is indescribable. PraysNanak, hear my prayer, O God, Almighty Creator, Cause of causes. || 1 || These beings are Yours; You are their Creator.God is the Destroyer of pain, suffering and doubt. Eliminate my doubt, pain and suffering in an instant, and preserve me, OLord, Merciful to the meek. You are mother, father and friend, O Lord and Master; the whole world is Your child, O Lord of theWorld. One who comes seeking Your Sanctuary obtains the treasure of virtue, and does not have to enter the cycle of birthand death again. Prays Nanak, I am Your slave. All beings are Yours; You are their Creator. || 2 || Meditate on the Lord,twenty-four hours a day; the fruits of the hearts desires are obtained. The hearts desires are obtained by meditating on God,and the fear of death is dispelled. I sing of the Lord of the Universe in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and myhopes are fulfilled. Renouncing possessiveness, emotional attachment and all corruption, we become pleasing to the Mind ofGod. Prays Nanak, day and night, meditate forever on the Lord, Har, Har. || 3 || At His Door, the unstruck melody resounds.In each and every heart, the Lord, the Lord of the Universe, sings. The Lord of the Universe sings, and abides forever; He isunfathomable, profoundly deep, lofty and exalted. His virtues are infinite none of them can be described. No one can reachHim. He Himself creates, and He Himself nurtures; all beings and creatures are fashioned by Him.
